The PP demands solutions for the "repeated power cuts" in Teguise

The municipal spokesperson, Jonás Álvarez, urges the City Council to take action on the matter against the electricity company Endesa

The Popular Party of Teguise has requested the municipal government to mediate with the electricity company Endesa in order to demand "that the repeated and constant power cuts suffered by various localities of the municipality and, especially, the town of Tahiche, be resolved."

The municipal spokesperson for the PP, Jonás Álvarez, has asked both the mayor and the councilor responsible for Works of the corporation to take action against the company because "the power cuts have been occurring for months, without ceasing, and are affecting not only public lighting but also that of homes.”

“The persistence of the cuts is causing an increase in the discomfort of the residents who for several weeks have been showing their complaint to the municipal authorities without the problem being solved so far,” says Jonás Álvarez. “To this day, supply interruptions continue to occur without even any communication from the company to its subscribers,” he adds.

“We understand that the city council is the closest administration to the resident and, therefore, it is to whom the residents send their complaints so that, in this case, the councilors mediate and try to solve the problem and demand a good service in the municipality,” defends the councilor of the Popular Party.

The popular ones consider that "at the present time, where there are many residents teleworking, being a good electrical service very necessary, it is not understandable that these cuts are being suffered without prior notice and several times a day.”
