The councilors of the Popular Party in the Yaiza City Council, Juan Monzón and Guayo Rodríguez, criticize that the mayor Oscar Noda "uses his negotiations to land in Nueva Canarias to sell the sanitation again, in this case of Uga, after having been announcing it for several terms".
The popular ones refer to the visit that the vice president of the Government of the Canary Islands, Román Rodríguez, made to the municipality last week, "to give the mayor a boost with the announcement of 1.5 million euros for the sanitation of the town of Uga, plus another million in two other projects".
The municipal spokesperson for the Popular Party, Juan Monzón, recalls that back in 2017 "the sanitation projects for Uga and Yaiza were announced, although it seems that the latter has been 'erased' from the investment." "Curiously, the same thing happens as with the investment of one million euros from the State Government for the sanitation of El Golfo, which served at the time for the annex of the president of Unidos Por Yaiza in the regional lists of Nueva Canarias," Monzón points out.
"Now it seems that, even though the breakdown of relations with Gladys Acuña is evident, the mayor of Yaiza has taken good note of his mentor's script, using Román Rodríguez's visit for his possible landing in Nueva Canarias, announcing a millionaire investment from the Canarian executive in our municipality," the popular ones maintain.
For this reason, they ask the mayor to "put aside the policy of fiction where he seems to have settled" and urge him "to fulfill the promises he makes to the neighbors before the elections, such as those he made to the neighbors of El Golfo, who to this day are still waiting for sanitation, for the avenue, the natural pools, the sports courts or the social center".
