The councilor and president of the PP of Teguise, Jonás Álvarez, wanted to respond to the statements of CC in which he accused the populars of acting with vandalistic tricks for the simple fact of denouncing the terrible state of the infrastructures and public spaces of Costa Teguise.
Álvarez considers the statements of the CC nationalists ridiculous, with which they try to cover up "the exhaustion of the government of Oswaldo Betancort" with totally absurd statements against the PP and the rigorous work that has been carried out in line with neighborhood complaints.
"What CC has come to say is that we have gone with a hammer breaking manholes, kicking the bins and throwing garbage to have something to say," ironizes the councilor who downplays the comments of the nationalists and attributes it to the nervousness and concern that exists among the ranks of CC due to the drift of the government team.
The leader of the PP of Teguise points out that "during the last two years the management of the municipal government has been progressively deflating, affecting both the composition of the government, with the resignation of two councilors, and the resolution of the municipality's problems that are piling up without solutions being provided."
"The neglect of Costa Teguise is visible to everyone and it is regrettable that instead of being concerned about the image that is being given to residents and tourists, CC's only concern is its own image, that of Oswaldo Betancort and that of the government team," Álvarez denounces.
"Instead of lecturing the opposition on how we should do our job, it would be more useful for CC to pass the mayor a decalogue of good government practices so that they can get their act together and do their tasks, which is what the residents voted for and are paid for."
Finally, the popular councilor urges the nationalists to better inform themselves about the work and proposals made by the Popular Party as well as the government's response. "CC forgets that the Mayor's response to the initiatives is to reject them all systematically, as happened in the last plenary session with the request for an urgent measures plan for the tourist town," the councilor recalls.
