On February 23, there will be a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Port Authority to definitively close the adjudication process of the basic project to begin the development of the works of the Puerto - Ciudad de Arrecife contest. All the public administrations involved will inform the winning team of the contest of the suggestions made by the jury, as revealed by the mayor of Arrecife, María Isabel Déniz, who is a member of the Board of Directors of the Authority.
110 million euros
The investment is around 110 million euros, including port infrastructure and commercial and leisure offerings. Public money, about 60 million euros, will be invested in the southern shelter works, dike, closure and cruise dock. It is assumed that the commercial investment will fall on the private sector.
Mayoral Report
The president of the Las Palmas Port Authority, Emilio Mayoral, presented a report to the Board of Directors of the entity explaining the situation of the three Puerto - Ciudad contests in the province, including the one in Arrecife. Mayoral reported on a meeting in Madrid where certain modifications that need to be made for the works to be operational and to address the allegations presented were clarified. These observations will be recorded in the processing of the project in March.
