The exhibition hall of the Playa Blanca Tourist Office hosts an illustrative exhibition on the new southern port until March 4. This exhibition shows photographs of the expansion works in their different stages, as well as other historical images that include, for example, the inauguration of the old dock 40 years ago. The southern mayor, Óscar Noda, and the Councilor for Tourism, Ángel Domínguez, were at the Tourist Office observing the exhibition.
“We agreed with Puertos Canarios to open this new informative window so that residents and tourists can better understand the dimension and evolution of a transcendental work for the economy and development of the municipality and Lanzarote, which represents an investment of more than 40 million euros,” says Óscar Noda.
From the Consistory they remember that Puertos Canarios, with municipal support, organized last November in the Casa de la Cultura de Yaiza “a technical conference on the new port of Playa Blanca”. This event detailed a series of presentations about "the financing funds of the project, characteristics of the port, importance and potential in regional and international maritime traffic",
The Yaiza City Council encourages you to visit the exhibition from Monday to Sunday in continuous hours from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
