The parliamentary group of Coalición Canaria has lamented the "lack of commitment" of the Arrecife City Council with the residents of Titerroy by not yet defining whether it wants rehabilitation or replacement of the group of houses in this neighborhood. "While other nuclei already have a solution, Titerroy, due to the neglect of the Consistory, still has not defined the necessary project to obtain the financing that allows the residents to enjoy their homes," CC has denounced.
In this sense, the nationalist formation has assured that it is "regrettable that while 36 projects throughout the Canary Islands have gone ahead, Titerroy remains in a permanent state of uncertainty because the government group of the City Council has not done its job well." Thus, CC supports the work of its party colleague and Minister of Housing, Inés Rojas, who has requested on "numerous occasions" that the City Council accelerate the procedures of the project, "something that it has not done."
"The only document presented does not even define whether they are requesting a replacement or a rehabilitation, which prevents the necessary action from being launched, since the definition of this issue is fundamental to be able to start with the action, since it is the one that determines the viability of the project," insisted the nationalist formation, which has recalled that the document has been returned to the Consistory so that "it corrects it."
The parliamentary group of Coalición Canaria does not understand "the little sensitivity" of the Consistory with "some families, mostly elderly people, who are seeing how their houses are not being rehabilitated and cannot live in them."
