The Superior Headquarters of the Police of the Canary Islands incorporates into its staff 25 inspectors in practice of the Executive Scale, who during the next seven months will carry out their period of practice in the different police stations of the islands, 14 in the province of Las Palmas and 11 in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The incorporation ceremonies have been presided over by the Government Delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana Padrón, and the Superior Chief of Police in the Canary Islands, Jesús María Gómez Martín.
The inspectors belonging to the XXXVII promotion of the Executive Scale, will serve in the different police units after completing the theoretical training period, where they acquired knowledge in multiple subjects such as criminal and procedural law, investigation, scientific police, languages, personal defense or police shooting among others.
They will provide service in the provincial and local police stations, integrating themselves with the rest of the national police officers assigned to the different units, carrying out together with them the work that is usually carried out by the judicial police, citizen security, complaint offices, information, immigration and scientific police groups.
Twelve inspectors of police in practice will complete their training period in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (7), Telde (1) and Maspalomas (4). The rest of the agents join the staff of Arrecife (2), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (6), Puerto de la Cruz (2) and South of Tenerife (3).
