From next Monday, the municipal fish market of Arrecife will close its doors to undertake reforms and adapt the establishment to health and safety regulations.
"The purpose," according to the Councilor for Health, Ubaldo Becerra, "is none other than to adapt the facilities to the regulations in force in health matters and thus offer consumers a service with the best guarantees."
The works, which are expected to last until the beginning of next year, will consist of the demolition and preparation of the premises, the placement of new security and hygiene measures such as the provision of glass separating exhibitors and the replacement of the entire system of taps and sinks.
