The Transport Council of the Cabildo of Lanzarote has also authorized the implementation of the special bus service on the occasion of the Los Remedios festivities in Yaiza.
Specifically, the reinforcement of bus services has been decreed for Wednesday, September 7, line 60, from 18:00 to 20:00 hours, which will make all stops from the Arrecife bus station to Playa Blanca. On Thursday the 8th there will be a special service at 00:30 hours (early morning from Wednesday 07th to Thursday 08th) with a direct bus from the Yaiza Supermarket stop to the Arrecife bus station and the reinforcement of line 60 at 18:00 and 20:00 hours in the direction Arrecife - Playa Blanca making all the stops from the Arrecife Bus Station to Playa Blanca. Finally, on Friday, September 9, there will be a special service at 00:30 hours. (early morning from Thursday 08 to Friday 09) with a direct bus from the Yaiza Supermarket stop to the Arrecife bus station.
"As summer comes to an end, municipalities such as Tinajo and Yaiza welcome festivities as important in Lanzarote as Los Remedios, where a significant influx of public is expected to its main events that will also have a reinforcement of public transport service," says Marcos Bergaz, Minister of Transport.
"The objective of these actions is to have safe parties, in which unnecessary risks on the road are avoided, and to make the maxim true" if you drink, don't drive, use public transport, for the safety of everyone", adds Bergaz.
The rate of the service will be that corresponding to the application of the current traveler-kilometer rate for that line, as stated in the resolution signed this week.
The transport company must provide a high-capacity passenger vehicle, thus guaranteeing safe mobility for attendees, also indicating from the Cabildo of Lanzarote that if necessary another bus must be available.
Another of the conditions required by Transport is that, due to the characteristics of the service, the Yaiza City Council must have the presence of the Local Police at the exits in order to guarantee order in the event of any incident that may occur.
