The Emergency Consortium reinforces the defibrillator network in Lanzarote

The Lanzarote Safety and Emergency Consortium has carried out an important update of its defibrillator campaign on the island. Within the framework of this initiative, an exhaustive update of the existing defibrillators has been carried out, guaranteeing that all devices are in optimal operating conditions.

In addition, as part of this effort to improve the response to cardiac emergencies, 30 new defibrillators have been delivered to the town councils, Civil Protection and the different bodies of the Local Police of the island. With this expansion, Lanzarote reinforces its response capacity in terms of cardioprotection.

The president of the Consortium, Francisco Aparicio, highlighted the importance of this campaign: "Defibrillators are vital tools that can make the difference between life and death in emergency situations. With this delivery, we not only expand coverage on our island, but we also reaffirm our commitment to the protection and well-being of our citizens."

The delivery of these new devices and the updating of those already installed are part of a comprehensive plan that also includes training the population in PAS behavior (Protect, Warn, Help) to raise awareness about the importance of acting with guarantees in the event of an emergency. Training, together with accessibility to defibrillators, is key to increasing the chances of survival in the event of a critical situation.

The Island Security and Emergency Consortium thus strengthens its commitment to citizen security, strengthening collaboration with the town councils, Civil Protection and the Local Police of the different municipalities.
