The Platform of the Municipality of Haría has denounced the "grotesque situation" experienced this Friday both in the Plenary and in the Accounts Committee, which it considers will "go down in the annals of history as the greatest violation of basic democratic principles" and has already announced that it will challenge it.
The formation states that, after a call for an Accounts Committee where the General Account for 2018 was discussed "which lasted 45 seconds", a "break prior to the plenary session, which was called half an hour later", at 8:45 a.m., was proposed.
"We accessed the consistorial house exactly at 8:48 and began to greet the staff, including the councilors who were at the door of the plenary hall," explains the Platform of the Municipality of Haría, which states that its "surprise" was that they were then informed that "the plenary session had already finished with its five points to be discussed, as important as the fiscalization of the 2017 budget and the audit of the General Account for 2018".
"After hours and hours of work reviewing the documentation provided for this extraordinary session, it seems at least indecent and retrograde to prevent the constitutional right of expression and to curtail a basic democratic principle. Sorrow overwhelms us, because where work for the benefit of the municipality should prevail," the formation points out, which considers that "only the personal ego of the institutional representative seems to matter".
Likewise, the Platform of the Municipality of Haría announces that it will present a written challenge to the agreements derived "from the fraudulent plenary session".
