The Haría City Council invests 194,000 to improve the collection of organic waste

The Haría City Council has invested 194,000 euros to improve the collection of organic waste in the municipality. Specifically, as reported by the City Council, vehicles have been acquired and repaired and the progressive replacement of garbage containers is being carried out through the Department of Conservation and Maintenance of Goods and Services. With this, the City Council emphasizes that it is betting "decisively to improve the service currently provided to the residents of the municipality".

As noted by the northern Consistory, in the coming days, the old organic waste collection truck will return to the streets after the compactor and the liquid retention system have been repaired. In this way, the one currently being used will be used for the collection of plant material.

In addition, the City Council announces that the organic waste collection service will be reinforced in the coming months with the acquisition of a new vehicle. For this, the Consistory is going to make an investment of 170,000 euros. Likewise, the recent acquisition of 50 waste containers for an amount of 18,000 euros will allow the progressive replacement of the current ones until the complete renovation of the same is achieved.

For the mayor of Haría, Marci Acuña, "the improvement of the organic waste collection service involves renovating and conditioning the current equipment. "For this we have made a municipal investment of 194,000 euros," he said. For his part, the Councilor for Conservation and Maintenance of Goods and Services, Víctor Robayna, has urged residents "to take care of the containers and the correct use of each of them, for the good of all".
