The Government authorizes the expense for the extension of the hemodialysis service at the Molina Orosa Hospital

The expense will exceed 14 million euros to extend for the third time the public service management concession contract in Lanzarote and Gran Canaria

The Governing Council has authorized this Thursday the Ministry of Health to make an expenditure of 14,723,001.20 euros in the third extension of the public service management contract, in the form of a concession, for the provision of the hemodialysis service in the care units linked to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital in Lanzarote. In addition to the University Hospital of Gran Canaria.

With this third extension, the continuity of the hemodialysis service is guaranteed to patients referred by both hospitals, for a period of two years, between the months of September 2023 and 2025.

The public service management contract, in the form of a concession, was awarded in May 2014 to the company Avericum, SL, and formalized in September of that same year. Subsequently, it was extended in September 2019 and June 2021 for periods of two years.
