The Finance Committee of the Tías Town Council approves the 2025 budget

The procedure requires the budget to be initially approved by the Finance Committee, then in a plenary session, and subsequently published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) and on the town hall's notice board.

Tomás Silvera, Councillor for Economy and Finance

The Tías Town Council, through the Economy and Finance area led by Tomás Silvera, has a fully defined budget project for 2025 that has been ratified in the Information Committee on Economy and Finance and Special Accounts held this Monday and that will be submitted to a vote in the plenary session scheduled for March 18.

The government team, formed by PSOE and Unidas Sí Podemos, announces that the income and expenses for this year are already detailed “taking into account the municipal needs and our political commitments, always ensuring budgetary stability”, declared Silvera.

The technical and economic reports justify the figures and priorities of the budget, which will be taken to the plenary session next Tuesday, March 18, as indicated by the mayor, José Juan Cruz, who points out that “we have designed realistic and responsible accounts, designed to strengthen public services, boost the local economy and improve the quality of life of citizens”.

Nicolás Saavedra, first deputy mayor, affirms that “we continue to delve into a more social municipality and that is reflected in the municipal budget”. He adds that “we work for the well-being of the citizens, prioritizing policies that strengthen social care and community development”.

The procedure requires the budget to be initially approved by the Finance Committee, then in a plenary session, and subsequently published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) and on the town hall's notice board for the presentation of allegations and suggestions within 15 business days.

If there are no allegations, or once they are resolved, the budget will be submitted again to a vote in the town hall plenary session for its final approval and will be published again in the BOP.
