The Emergency Consortium acquires an ambulance for Covid-19 services

The Minister of Security and Emergencies, Francisco Javier Aparicio, presented this Thursday a new basic life support ambulance that will be added to the equipment of the Central Fire Station located in Argana Alta. This new vehicle will, for the moment, be used to provide Covid-19 services in collaboration with the Canary Health Service.

“With this ambulance, subsidized by the Cabildo, we intend to provide a better service to the population of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, as it is equipped with all the healthcare equipment to be able to attend to any type of vital emergency in health transport,” said Aparicio.

In addition to the Minister of Security and Emergencies of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and president of the Consortium, the event was attended by the General Director of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands, Gustavo de Armas, and the Managing Director of the GSC of the Government of the Canary Islands, Elías Castro. who announced that “Lanzarote will have a renewal of ambulances by the Government in the first week of December.”

Also present were the Minister of Health of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Juan Manuel Sosa, the manager of the Security and Emergency Consortium, Enrique Espinosa, and the Park Chief of the Lanzarote Fire Department, Domingo Crespo.

With this new ambulance, the Security, Emergency, Rescue, Prevention and Fire Extinction Consortium continues to renew and increase its fleet of assistance and rescue vehicles to improve equipment and its capacity to respond to any event.
