The Cabildo of Lanzarote reminds applicants for the Youth Rental Voucher that the deadline to submit or rectify pending documentation ends this Friday, December 5, making it essential to complete this process to maintain the right to continue in the aid application procedure. According to the resolution published by the Government of the Canary Islands, those listed in "Annex VII and VIII" must provide receipts proving rent payments after the application date, or complete any other required documentation.

The president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, has insisted on the relevance of the island's support for this call. "We have made an unprecedented effort by allocating our own resources so that the youth of Lanzarote and La Graciosa have more real opportunities to become independent" and recalls that the island institution was the first local administration in the country to co-finance these grants.

For his part, the Housing counselor, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, emphasizes the importance of acting within the deadline. "This is the last day to submit pending documents. If it is not completed, the aid cannot be granted," insists Jiménez, who underlines that investing in young people's housing is guaranteeing the island's future.

The Young Rental Bonus 2025 offers aid of up to 250 euros per month for a maximum of 24 months for renting a home or room. Young people between 18 and 35 years old, with incomes below three times the IPREM, who are holders or are in a position to formalize a lease agreement (or assignment of use), and who reside in the Canary Islands, will be able to benefit.

Applications were processed through the electronic headquarters of the Government of the Canary Islands, as established by the call published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands; and the required documentation includes a rental contract, receipts, data on the household unit, and other official annexes.

The Cabildo urges all young people listed in the official registry to check their email, their notification inbox, or the electronic headquarters, and to complete any pending procedures or document submissions before the deadline expires today.
