The Teguise City Council has taken a fundamental step to ensure the optimal condition of its beaches and the satisfaction of residents and visitors. The City Council has published on the State Contracting Platform the tender for contracting the necessary services and supplies for the comprehensive maintenance of the beaches of Costa Teguise.
This investment amounts to 362,355 euros, "which demonstrates the firm municipal commitment to the quality of its coastal areas." Companies interested in participating in the contract will have until July 3, 2025 to submit their offers.
The service to be contracted covers a wide range of maintenance work, both corrective and preventive, essential for the conservation of our beaches. The tasks contemplated include painting, plumbing, earthmoving and electricity work.
These tasks will be carried out on a variety of key elements for the enjoyment of the beaches, such as benches, railings, signage supports, showers, masts, bins, walkways, ramps, platforms, stairs, public toilets, walls, planters and the necessary movement of sand to maintain the quality of our beaches.
The area of intervention of these services is extensive and vital for Costa Teguise, including the beaches of Las Cucharas, Bastián, Jablillo, Los Charcos and Ancla, as well as the maritime avenue and some surrounding streets that complement the experience of our residential and tourist users.
"The importance of this municipal intervention is capital for Teguise," said Councilor Rita Hernandez. "Our beaches are one of our greatest tourist attractions and the economic engine of Costa Teguise. Maintaining them in perfect condition is not only an aesthetic issue, but a priority to guarantee the safety, accessibility and quality of the services we offer,” she continued.
Likewise, the councilor continues “With this tender, we reaffirm our commitment to the well-being of our residents and to the excellence of our destination, ensuring that Costa Teguise continues to be a benchmark of quality in beach tourism, in addition to being a leader in nature, cultural and sports tourism."
