Paving works are being carried out on several roads in Costa Teguise these days. The City Council is going to invest more than one and a half million euros in an action that includes two projects. The objective of the intervention is to resurface the roads of the town and repair the pavement, eliminating potholes or bumps in some cases and, in others, completely renovating the previous pavement.
The first of the projects has already been executed in a 75%. This involves improvements to Dragos Street, a section of Jablillo Avenue, between Mar Avenue and the Canary Islands Avenue, Catamaran Street, Canary Islands Avenue, Acacias Street, the section of Las Palmeras Avenue located between Acacias and Adelfas Streets, in the Travesía del Hurón, Eclipse Street and the section of Tenderete Street that goes from the Civil Guard barracks to Piteras Street. The works, with a cost of 795,000 euros, began at the beginning of the year and will be completed in fifteen days.
As for the second project, it is in the bidding phase and includes the improvement of Golf Avenue (from the entrance of Tahíche to Costa Teguise), Chinchorro Street, Las Conchas Street and Atalaya Street. The City Council will allocate 500,000 euros to this action and it is expected that the work will be awarded in one month and executed in less than two.
