The Canarian Coalition Assembly in Tinajo has unanimously elected this Thursday the list of women and men who will accompany Jesús Machín in the elections on May 26. An electoral list with which the current mayor trusts to achieve his fifth absolute majority, as he highlighted during his speech.
"I am proud of each of the people who are part of this winning team. Women and men who are aware that it is not about waiting for the neighbor to appear at the City Hall to tell their problems, but that they know that we have to anticipate and be decisive. Good words are useless. We are a team of facts, a team aware that the work is in each of the streets of our municipality and in each of the houses of our neighbors".
Machín also highlighted the need for the Canarian Coalition to continue governing in Tinajo to continue developing the work that is allowing the municipality to become an island reference in sports, youth or environmental matters.
For his part, the secretary of the Local Committee of CC in Tinajo, Luis Miguel Pérez, wanted to recognize "all the colleagues who have voluntarily decided to go on the list, those who are not on the list but who are part of the team with their support and their work, and all those people who have been betting on the Canarian Coalition since the time of Luis Perdomo".
In an act that was attended by the candidates for the mayoralties of Arrecife and San Bartolomé, Echedey Eugenio and David Rocío, respectively, the general secretary of the Nationalist Youth of Lanzarote, Sara Bermúdez, also took the floor, who highlighted the presence on the list of "young, excited, prepared people who want Tinajo to continue being a leading municipality".
It now remains for the Insular Political Council to ratify on Monday, March 18, the names for which the Canarian Coalition is betting to continue governing in Tinajo.
