The Cabildo tenders the replacement of the artificial turf of the Tías soccer field

This is the sixth artificial turf improvement project in soccer fields and sports facilities undertaken by the first Island Corporation in recent years...

The Cabildo of Lanzarote has put out to tender through an open procedure the replacement of the artificial turf of the Tías soccer field. The base budget for the tender of the work is 282,302.89 euros and the deadline for submitting proposals is 26 calendar days from last Thursday, July 30, the day following the publication of the tender announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP).

As established in the project, the Tías soccer field is "quite deteriorated due to its age and the continued use it receives", so the playing surface, which covers 7,452 square meters, will be replaced by state-of-the-art artificial turf. Likewise, a new outdoor irrigation network consisting of six automated, long-range piston sprinklers will be installed.

The works will culminate with certification by an approved laboratory, following the quality criteria 'FIFA Star II' and 'UNE EN 15530-1', as well as with tests of the completed work and the issuance of the necessary certificates by authorized control bodies for its approval, as required by the Royal Spanish Football Federation for the Second Division B category.

The execution of this work, included in the investments executed by the first Corporation charged to the Island Investment Plan of 2015, adds to the improvements already made in recent years by the Cabildo in the soccer fields of Teguise, Yaiza, Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote, Day Center and Care for Drug Addiction 'Zonzamas', as well as in the multi-purpose court of La Graciosa.

The aforementioned third Island Investment Plan also includes the project to replace the turf and irrigation of the Argana soccer field, which the Cabildo plans to put out to tender soon with an estimated budget of 255,000 euros.
