The Cabildo signs a loan of 23.89 million euros to finance the 2021 Investment Plan

The president emphasizes that "thanks to this loan, around 20 strategic projects for the Island can be carried out"

The Cabildo of Lanzarote has signed a loan of 23,890,394 euros for the financing of investments planned in the budget of the past year 2021. The awarded financial entities have been Cajasiete Caja Rural Sociedad Cooperativa De Crédito, with an amount of 4,000,000 euros, and Caixabank S.A., with an amount of 19,890,394 euros. 

The president, Maria Dolores Corujo, emphasizes that "thanks to this loan, around 20 strategic projects for the Island can be carried out."

The signing of the loan was attended by José Manuel Garrido, director of Institutional Relations of Cajasiete, Matías García, branch director, Enrique Sánchez, director of the CaixaBank business area in Lanzarote, and Rubén Sánchez, director of institutions of the entity.

The term of the operation is twelve years, which includes two years of grace period and ten years of amortization. "For the award of the contract, the lowest price offered by the bidders has been taken into account, complying with the usual criteria of financial prudence, based on the most favorable interest for the Cabildo," they point out from the Corporation.
