The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Social Welfare Area headed by Isabel Martín, has announced a line of aid to address the social emergency situations in which women victims of gender violence find themselves.

Those interested in taking advantage of this call, endowed with a total amount of 31,729 euros, must submit their applications to the Women's Information and Care Service of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, located in the dependencies of the Social Welfare Area at Rambla Medular number 46 in Arrecife.

The president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, has stressed that "any help is not enough for a group that, unfortunately, continues to have a high number of victims of all ages."

In this same sense, Isabel Martín recalls that "only last year the Cabildo attended to 363 women from Lanzarote for gender violence, an extremely high figure that reflects the dimension of the problem that continues to exist in the conejera society."
