The Arrecife area Prosecutor's Office has presented this Monday before the Investigating Court 2 of the capital of Lanzarote the indictment against the director and one of the monitors of the La Santa Hostel for alleged abuse of six minors. [The events occurred in the summer of 2008.->19490]
The Prosecutor's Office formulates the accusation for six crimes against moral integrity, committed with respect to as many minors that took place in the month of July 2008 in that shelter. Penalties of 15 months in prison are requested for each of the crimes.
Likewise, the Prosecutor's Office proposes a compensation of 3,000 euros for each minor, in respect of the moral damages caused. It is requested that both the Cabildo of Lanzarote and the entity contracted for this activity in La Santa, that is, Extraocio, SL, be subsidiarily liable for these amounts.
