The Arrecife City Council has explained that citizens can apply for aid to rehabilitate their usual and permanent home. The applicant must be registered in the municipality for more than five years and be the owner of the property. In addition, the house must have been built for more than ten years and with insufficient living conditions to be able to apply for the aid.
From the Council they have reported that Arrecife residents who own the house in which the rehabilitation works are going to be carried out may be eligible for this aid. Therefore, this must constitute the usual and permanent residence of the family unit.
The Councilor for Housing, Victoria Sande, reminded those interested that "the house must remain the property of the beneficiary and maintain it as a residence, in addition to being registered in the municipality for at least one year from the completion of the work".
To apply for the aid, those interested can go to the Housing Department of the Consortium where they will be informed of the requirements that must be carried out to apply for it and the necessary documents.
