Arrecife eliminates barriers in the surroundings of the Molina Orosa Hospital

The intervention in Ico street adds to more than 500 accessibility improvements carried out in different neighborhoods of the capital

The Arrecife City Council continues to carry out new works to improve accessibility in the streets of the Arrecife neighborhoods. As a complement to the adaptation works of the crossings and pedestrian crossings carried out in recent months in the neighborhoods of San Francisco Javier, Las Salinas, Titerroy, La Destila and Argana Baja, work is being done in these weeks of August on the elimination of barriers in Ico street with the crossing of the general road from San Bartolomé to Arrecife, near the Doctor Molina Orosa University Hospital.

The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, has visited these works that are carried out by workers of the Department of Public Works, a municipal area under the direct direction of the first mayor.

In addition to improving accessibility at this intersection, the City Council is building a small square, in a municipal strip near the headquarters of the Parranda Marinera de Los Buches, where cultural activities are periodically held in its assembly hall.

Yonathan de León recalled that in these two years of mandate the City Council has improved accessibility in about 500 crossings and pedestrian crossings in different neighborhoods of Arrecife. A work that will continue to be carried out in the coming months with new phases to make Arrecife a city without barriers on public roads and much more accessible.
