Starting next week, the municipal offices of Playa Honda will expand the citizen services provided in this town by also incorporating the areas of Environment and Health, which will be attended by City Council technicians for four days a week. Specifically, the Environment Area will be open on Mondays and Thursdays, and Health and Consumer Affairs on Tuesdays and Fridays, during office hours.
The entry into operation of these new municipal services in Playa Honda responds to the agreement reached between the councilors of Environment and Health, Juan Antonio de la Hoz, and the councilor delegate of this town, Javier Betancort, in order to expand and improve the coverage of these services, given the demand of a population that already exceeds 12,000 inhabitants. Likewise, Javier Betancort assures that "the development experienced by Playa Honda already made it necessary to have specific delegations of these areas in this town, which currently concentrates a very important percentage of public management".
With the incorporation of these new municipal services, the residents of Playa Honda will not have to travel to the town of San Bartolomé, but can be attended directly in the municipal offices to resolve any issue related to these departments.
As will be recalled, the Playa Honda offices have also hosted a specific delegation of the Social Services Area since 2003, from Monday to Thursday, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.
