The Agency for the Protection of the Urban and Natural Environment has opened a new sanctioning file for dumping of construction material on the island of La Graciosa. In this case, according to what Apmun publishes this Thursday in the Official Gazette, the infraction has been committed in Chapaleta street number 13 of Caleta de Sebo.
In its resolution, the Agency points out that the promoters of this work would have incurred in "an environmental infraction, classified and classified as serious", consisting of "abandonment and dumping of non-hazardous waste, consisting of rubble, earth and stones, all of them construction and demolition waste".
The Apmun recalls that the Law provides for sanctions of up to 300,506 euros, although in this case it anticipates that the fine would be 6,010 euros. In any case, those responsible have 15 days from this Thursday to present allegations or provide documents or evidence in their defense. If they do not, the file will be considered resolved with that proposed sanction.
In addition, the Agency also requires the two people denounced for these works to "proceed to the regularization of their activity through the correct management of non-hazardous waste generated through its removal and delivery to an authorized manager", accrediting that delivery to the Apmun.
