The new edition of the Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Fair has begun this Thursday, June 5, in Teguise, to promote and give visibility to the local product. Citizens will be able to enjoy these days, aimed at all audiences, until next Sunday, June 8, at the municipality's Agrotechnological Center.
The opening ceremony was presided over by the mayor Olivia Duque; the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort; the president of the Federation of Agricultural and Fisheries Associations (FASAT), Omar Viñas, and the director of the Canary Islands Institute of Agri-Food Quality (ICCA), Luis Arráez.

For his part, President Oswaldo Betancort highlighted that this event "has established itself as a regional benchmark in promoting the island's economy, boosting local productivity." "The clear effort of our professionals has ensured that Lanzarote is recognized as an Important World Agricultural Heritage System (SIPAM)," he said.
"This fourth edition is full of activities and, as a novelty, this Sunday we will once again have the spectacular horse race starting at 12:30 p.m.," highlights the Councilor for Economic Promotion of the island corporation, Nori Machín.
The inauguration also included the adhesion of Papa Los Valles to the Association of Potato Producing Towns of Spain, highlighting the work and trajectory of this company.
