Teguise started its Christmas events this Thursday with the inauguration of the Nativity Scene installed in the House of Culture. "One more claim to visit one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Spain at this Christmas time and enjoy the leisure and commercial opportunities offered by both La Villa and the rest of the payments of the municipality," said the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, during the visit to the Christmas Nativity Scene.
From the City Council of Teguise they point out that on the afternoon of this Friday, starting at 7:00 p.m. "the open-air portal will also open to the public in the Plaza Camilo José Cela", with the subsequent concert by the Teguise and San Bartolomé choirs. And on Sunday, December 12, at 12 noon, a new edition of the "Menudos Timplistas" meeting will arrive at the Convent of Santo Domingo, with the participation of students from the schools of Teguise, Tías and Arrecife, in addition to the special participation of players from La Palma.
Within the Christmas program, from the City Council they add that "there will be time for theater on Friday 17 and Saturday 18", with the play "Palabras de Mujer", by Dévora Ventura, at 9:00 p.m. in the Convent of Santo Domingo de La Villa. In addition, there will also be "for the little ones", who can enjoy workshops and storytelling on Saturday 18 at 10:30 a.m. in Costa Teguise, in the Pueblo Marinero, and at 8:30 p.m., the concert by the 'Trío Gas'.
Christmas carols within the cycle of concerts "Isleña Christmas", concert by the municipal band of Teguise or the expected youth musical on the eve of Reyes "The Secret of the Magic Compass" complete a leisure agenda adapted to the times of the pandemic that can be consulted completely at www.teguise.es.
In La Graciosa there will also be an opportunity to soak up activities this Christmas with "storytelling, workshops, the Vocalsiete concert and other activities for all audiences."
The Councilor for Culture, Nori Machín, thanks all those who have made this program possible and asks for "caution and commitment to health security in culture in these weeks" and recalls that "all events are subject to reservation of space adjusted to the allowed capacity".
