The Councilor for Education of the Teguise City Council, Mar Boronat, was present at the informative and technical visit that the new island director of Education, Carmen Pellón, made last Friday to the CEO of La Graciosa, Ignacio Aldecoa. Both the Teguise City Council and the Government of the Canary Islands have committed to the management team to "promote various improvements" in the facilities of this center that welcomes students from Infant, Primary and Secondary.
“Among the maintenance actions that are being outlined are the improvement of the electrical installation, the adaptation of the common areas, likewise, the school garden area will be improved, a warehouse will be created to store various material resources, as well as the implementation of ventilation in the classrooms,” Boronat explained.
This visit has also meant an "approach to the routine" of the teaching team and its students, “since we visited all the classrooms and were able to exchange impressions of how the context and particularities of the eighth island can affect the educational intervention and the learning methodology of the students of La Graciosa”.
