Teguise invests more than 200,000 euros to renovate the turf of the Tahíche football field

The works for the replacement of turf and annexes on the Tahíche football field have begun this week after being awarded for an amount of 214,000 euros to the company Mondo Ibérica. According to the City Council, the main action consists of replacing the old turf "with a new state-of-the-art one", but complementary actions are also underway to repair irrigation elements.

During his visit to the works, the mayor of Teguise announced that "according to the estimates of the contractor, the facilities will be ready for use in three months." In addition to improving the playing surface, the project financed by the City Council includes irrigation canalization works and the installation of pumps and sprinklers.

"In response to the demands of the Tahíche Sports Club, as well as the parents of all the children who practice sports in this field in the afternoons, we are proceeding to rehabilitate its facilities with one hundred percent financing from the Teguise City Council. The next thing will be to clean up the exterior of the field and adapt the changing room area, as requested by the management and users," the mayor declared during his visit.
