Teguise gives the green light to the Cabildo to reform the Nazaret road

The project is budgeted at four million and includes an access roundabout in response to the demands of the residents

Meeting of the Council and the City Council of Teguise

The Teguise City Council, through the Technical Office area coordinated by Olivia Duque, has announced that the inter-administrative collaboration for the Cabildo de Lanzarote to execute the Nazaret road works is now resolved.

From Teguise they remember that the highest island institution committed to finance the works of the LZ.408 road from Nazaret to the Agrotechnological Center, budgeted at about four million euros, in a project that includes an access roundabout in response to the demand of the residents of the area, and that will also include widening the shoulder to improve safety.

“I congratulate the Municipal Technical Office because they are unblocking many projects that we will be announcing as all inter-administrative authorizations are made public,” declared the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort. “Once Teguise finishes doing its homework, we will be able to demand from the City Council that all the works and investments of said authorizations begin to materialize,” he pointed out.

Although the El Peñón and Nazaret roads already have the inter-administrative collaboration initiated between the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the Teguise City Council, there is an issue that worries the mayor, whose hope is to see “how all the institutions come together to solve vital problems for the development of the island, such as the installation of the transport pipe that supplies irrigation water to the north of the island”
