The Teguise City Council has published on its official website the call for subsidies that are destined to folk, cultural and musical associations of popular or traditional roots and other non-profit entities that carry out recreational-cultural activities and have their registered office in the municipality.
In this case, the Strategic Subsidy Plan of Teguise 2020, allocates the amount of 30,000 euros to these entities, which must be registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations. The deadline for submitting applications is ten business days from its publication in the BOP, that is, they can be submitted from November 20.
“It is a year in which cultural activity is being greatly affected, but from the City Council we will continue to promote initiatives that keep traditions alive and keep our cultural heritage alive,” declared the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort. He also expressed his wish that “very soon they can resume their usual programming and show the public a work that they have developed for many years with great care and with a great sense of responsibility to transmit what Teguise is to the new generations, of which we have always been very proud.”
