Somos demands the resignation of San Ginés after his new indictment: This presidency is unsustainable and indecent

Somos Lanzarote has demanded the immediate resignation of Pedro San Ginés, after learning that the president of the Cabildo has added another indictment after being called to testify as an investigated party in a new criminal case that has been investigating the bankruptcy of Inalsa for years. The case investigates an alleged illegality in the awarding of works improperly worth 2.7 million euros, without being governed by public procurement regulations, carried out under the command of San Ginés.

From Somos Lanzarote they point out that "the judicial situation of the president is unsustainable and a serious danger to the management of public money" and demand his immediate resignation, as they did with his indictment in the case of the seizure of Club Lanzarote.

"This new indictment is the best photograph of the type of politics that Coalición Canaria and Pedro San Ginés exercise in the island institution and demonstrates that the process of privatization of water carried out in Lanzarote responded to private interests and not to those of the people of this island", add from Somos Lanzarote.

Likewise, they accuse the Popular Party and the PIL of being "directly responsible for maintaining this indecent presidency" and recall that those organizations that missed the opportunity to inaugurate a new era in the Island Council that would leave behind corruption and political malpractice are also jointly responsible for it.
