The council has carried out general painting work, minor repairs, pruning and cleaning of garden areas

The Tías City Council has carried out conditioning tasks on the municipality's schools

The schoolchildren of the municipality of Tías have started classes in the three Centers of Early Childhood and Primary Education (CEIP) with their improved and conditioned facilities for the new course. The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the Councilor for Education, Miriam Hernández, congratulate the educational community for the start of the school year.

The summer break has allowed the workers of the Roads and Works area to carry out general painting work and minor repairs in the schools of La Asomada-Mácher, Tías and Puerto del Carmen. In the three centers, pruning and cleaning of garden areas were also carried out by the student-workers of the PFAE Tías en Verde.

Miriam Hernández points out that "during the summer it was possible to fix the parquet floor of the sports hall of the CEIP La Asomada-Mácher. In that center, the kitchen faucets were also conditioned and the placement of a fence in the area of the Enclave classroom is pending".

In the CEIP Concepción Rodríguez Artiles, in Puerto del Carmen, an outdoor recreation area was set up with benches, while a new bathroom was built for teachers on the first floor of the building. This school is pending the installation of a separation for the playground of the youngest children.

For its part, the CEIP Alcalde Rafael Cedrés, in Tías, required different plumbing works and the necessary works had to be carried out in its facilities to allow its use by a professional cook. In this way, the school of Tías, which previously offered catering service, joins the other two centers with the kitchen service and the preparation of meals in its dependencies.
