Sara Bermúdez, new general secretary of the Nationalist Youth of CC in Lanzarote

The Lanzarote youth organization has been the first in the Canary Islands to renew its organizational positions.

The Nationalist Youth of the Canarian Coalition in Lanzarote, celebrated this Saturday its V Island Congress in the historic House of Fear of Arrecife, proclaiming Sara Bermúdez as the new island general secretary of the nationalists. The event took place "in an intimate environment", which began with the welcome of the secretary of the local committee of the Canarian Coalition in Arrecife, Rafael Juan González, who was proud to be his leading political formation in terms of youth participation, and affirmed his confidence in "young people, in Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands, and that together we can move forward".

Bermúdez, takes over from the current general secretary of the youth, Samuel Martín, who presented his management report, and pointed out that "two of the most important achievements of this organization is to have a general secretary of the party in Lanzarote, born within this youth organization, such as Migdalia Machín; and that our national general secretary, David Toledo, is also a member of this formation".

For his part, David Toledo, national general secretary of the Nationalist Youth of the Canarian Coalition, expressed his recognition to the outgoing executive and full support to the new list, involving them in "exciting young people to improve the public and be the leaders in these new ways of doing politics".

Migdalia Machín, island general secretary of the nationalists, was also present at the renewal of positions of the youth formation and stressed the importance of having "a team of young people with as much weight as the Canarian Coalition, because they are the engine of the party." Machín ended his speech with a quote "the set of individuals, based on great ideas, is what causes the great changes that go down in history".

New team for the youth formation of the Canarian Coalition


Among the objectives for this new political stage, of the general secretary of the Nationalist Youth, are "to reach all sectors, collect the requests of young people in terms of studies, culture, sports, health; to be more and more united." In addition, Bermúdez, added, that "I believe that we have a strong, complete team, which has present the interest of our land and our people, to work in the coming years, and that must be demonstrated by fighting."

In the new executive headed by Sara Bermúdez, she will also be accompanied as secretary of Organization, Elías Rodríguez; as deputy secretary of Organization, Bruno Ramírez; as deputy secretary of Communication, Spokesperson and Development, Daniel Morales, as secretary of Municipal Policies, Aroa Revelo; as deputy secretary of Sports and Culture, Nayra Rodríguez; and as deputy secretary of Youth Policies, Maciot Cabrera.

Also, as coordinator of Professional Opportunities, Adán Placeres; coordinator of Traditions and Identity, Santiago Ramírez; coordinator of Biosphere Reserve, Jorge de la Guardia; youth coordinator, Yelena González; and coordinator of Universities, Juan Manuel Pérez.

On the other hand, as representatives in the Island Political Council are Andoni Machín, Tania Ramón, Diego Caraballo and Sara Acuña. And as representative of the National Political Council, Jesús Alexander Machín.

Sara Bermúdez, who also participated in the outgoing executive as secretary of Communication and spokesperson, is 26 years old and is a journalist. Very linked to the world of music and Canarian folklore, she has belonged since the age of 17 to the local committee of the Canarian Coalition in Teguise
