The mayor of San Bartolomé, Alexis Tejera, accompanied by the Councilor for Education Alma María González, met this Thursday, at the Town Hall, with Antonio Ojeda Domínguez, Head of the Section of Workshop Schools, Employment Workshops and PFAE (Training Programs in Alternation with Employment), of the Canarian Employment Service and technicians from the area.
During the working day, they addressed the launch of several PFAE projects in the municipality, which will last 11 months, in which the participating students will acquire specific training in a profession. The objective is to facilitate access to work through learning and professional experience in an occupation.
The City Council affirms that it is actively working on this year's call, since this training is scheduled to begin at the end of 2019, with programs for young unemployed and those over 30 years of age, with 15 students per workshop. Students will receive 75% of the interprofessional salary while taking the course.
The City Council points out that it has established a series of priorities for the workshops to be taught, with the mayor having a special interest in implementing projects in the municipality whose training purpose is that of specialists in family respite, gardening, masonry, training in tourism promotion and leisure services.
