San Bartolomé will host the Agrocanarias Fair, which will be held in Lanzarote between May 5 and 7, an event of great relevance for the promotion of local agriculture and gastronomy that serves to publicize the potential of the island's and the archipelago's products.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, thanks the organizers of the event for "the trust placed in the municipality for holding such an important fair as Agrocanarias, which will allow the people of Lanzarote to enjoy an environment like San Bartolomé where the entire Canarian primary sector will be concentrated".
Companies interested in participating and exhibiting their products can submit their application until next Thursday, April 13, by filling out a form and following the instructions indicated on the Agrocanarias Fair website https://lanzarote.feriaagrocanarias.com/solicitud-de-admision/. For the general public, admission will be free during the three days of the event.
At the event, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of the Canary Islands, visitors will be able to taste and learn firsthand the best of local products from our land: cheeses, wines, oils, gofio, salts, fruits, vegetables, meats and fish, among others.
Agrocanarias was created with the aim of remembering the primary role of the Canarian primary sector in the economy and remembering the added value that quality production brings to the diet of families, tourism, society and the excellence of gastronomy.
The fair will take place in the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente park, where attendees can discover local gastronomy and where there will be live music, informative activities, children's workshops, gastronomic tastings and the sale of Canarian products. In addition, a market will be held, in which the products awarded in the Agrocanarias Awards will be sold, along with others made in the Canary Islands.
