The Playa Honda Civic Center hosted the presentation of the Training and Alternation with Employment Plan, which is aimed at unemployed people under 30 years of age in the municipality without specific training, so that they can obtain a certificate of professionalism related to the activity performed, in this case, the revitalization of leisure activities.
The 15 people who are participating in this initiative will have the opportunity to have access to work through learning and professional experience, and while they carry out the Plan they will receive remuneration of 75% of the interprofessional salary.
The mayor, Alexis Tejera, and the Councilor for Employment, Alma María González, have welcomed the students, wishing them "that the training meets their expectations" and that they "make the most of the experience that gives them the opportunity to obtain a paid qualification while also acquiring the necessary skills to be able to practice a new profession".
The Training and Alternation with Employment Plans are financed by the Canarian Employment Service, in this case with an amount of 311,326 euros, and will benefit a total of 15 students, who during the next 11 months will carry out the training part in the Playa Honda Civic Center, with the monitoring of a team made up of 5 people, including teachers, coordinator and project director.
The mayor insisted that the City Council has established a series of priorities for the programs to be taught, having a special interest in implementing programs in the municipality whose training purpose is to specialize unemployed people so that they have access to work in professions related to revitalization in centers for the elderly and socio-cultural centers or, as in the case of the other PFAE that is being developed in the municipality, in family respite.
