The San Bartolomé City Council announces that it has started paying subsidies to entities, clubs, schools and athletes in the municipality for an amount of 261,700 euros.
“San Bartolomé is committed to sports, subsidizing entities, clubs, individual athletes and sports schools, as the basis of the municipal sports future, increasing the allocation per athlete between 4 and 16 years from 99 euros to 124 euros”, says the mayor, Isidro Pérez.
The Councilor for Sports, Raúl de León, reports that a total of 35 subsidy applications were submitted in the “competitive concurrence” modality, granting 60,000 euros distributed “among the 14 sports clubs in the municipality for maintenance of sports entities”.
On the other hand, they point out from the Consistory that a total of 68,000 euros have been allocated “to the maintenance of 10 sports schools with activity in the municipality”, with children from 4 to 16 years old, which have a total of 600 children and young people. According to them, this is done “in a clear commitment to alleviate the ravages that the pandemic has made on the economy”.
Finally, they explain from the City Council, according to the criteria established in the Regulatory Bases for sports subsidies, aid has been granted for transportation and/or participation in competitions or tests of renown and high level for municipal sports clubs and municipal individual athletes not registered in clubs in the municipality. They have had 11 beneficiaries, divided between 6 sports clubs and 5 individual athletes, allocating a total of 7,200 euros.
