The current councilor of the Cabildo and insular spokesman for the Coalición Canaria group, Samuel Martín, has announced that he will officially register his candidacy this Tuesday to become the next insular secretary of Coalición Canaria in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, with the support of delegates from all the local committees of the island of Lanzarote and delegates from La Graciosa.
This support is joined by support from historical figures of the party and current public leaders such as the honorary president and mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, and the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, as well as the island councilors Marci Acuña, Aroa Revelo and Jesús Machín Tavío.
People with extensive municipal experience such as Eugenio Robayna and Toni Callero, the Graciosa native Alicia Páez, David Rocío, as well as numerous colleagues who represent the base, history and youth of Coalición Canaria, have also publicly expressed their support.
“My commitment and loyalty is to Coalición Canaria, to Lanzarote and La Graciosa, but above all, to a way of doing politics that puts unity, honesty and the defense of this land first. I present myself with great enthusiasm, with some experience and with the firm support of those who have been and are a fundamental part of this political project,” said Samuel Martín.
The candidate wanted to publicly thank each of the expressions of support received during the round of visits to the local committees that he has held and will continue to hold “as an example of the only way to exercise politics in a formation that for me is also family: bringing the leadership closer to the members and supporters of CC”.
With this step, Samuel Martín consolidates his leadership proposal as part of a new stage for Coalición Canaria in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, focused on strengthening the organization and reinforcing its role as a key nationalist political force in the present and future of the island.
Likewise, the candidate confirms that “people like Toni Callero will be in charge of the Organization Secretariat, and Aroa Revelo will play an important role in the next executive”, assures Martín, encouraging “everyone to join the project, since it is about making a cohesive team, sticking together and leaving aside individualisms”, he concludes.
