The Minister of the Interior, Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, will visit the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura next Monday, September 14, on the occasion of the inauguration of two main Civil Guard posts in the province of Las Palmas.
In the morning, the minister's first visit will be to the municipality of La Oliva and, specifically, the town of Corralero, in Fuerteventura. There, the first opening of a main Civil Guard post will take place, at 11:30 in the morning.
In the afternoon, in Lanzarote
After attending to the media from Majorera, Pérez Rubalcaba, will have the second of his appointments at 4:15 p.m. with the Civil Guard in the town of Puerto del Carmen, Tías. He will repeat the ceremony but this time at the main Civil Guard post on Manguia Street number 4, in the town of Lanzarote.
The minister will be accompanied at all times by the Government Delegate in the Canary Islands, Carolina Darias, the Director General of the Police and the Civil Guard, Francisco Javier Velázquez, and by the General Chief of the 16th Zone of the Civil Guard of the Canary Islands, Miguel Martínez.
