The Public Works area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, led by Vice President Jacobo Medina, announces the awarding of the drafting of the road improvement project that connects the Arrecife bypass and the town of Costa Teguise.
“We are aware of the high number of vehicles that travel daily on this road, and given its poor state of repair, we will completely resurface this section,” said the vice president.
Medina visited the current state of the road together with the mayor of Arrecife and direct head of Public Works, Yonathan de León, and the councilor of the same area in the Teguise City Council, given that half of the road belongs to one municipality and the other half to the other.
For this drafting of the project, the area has allocated 4,200 euros to Tomás Francisco Fuentes Berriel, who has obtained the highest score of the five companies that submitted bids to draft said project.
“We are continuing in this way with the plan to reactivate the island's economy through public works, carrying out all those interventions that improve not only the island's roads, but ultimately the quality of life of all Lanzarote residents,” said the vice president.
The project will be delivered in the coming months and, once it is in the hands of the Public Works area, the intervention on the road will be put out to tender.
