Public Works collects 67 tons of garbage in the last two months in Lanzarote

For this, "a greater number of utensils and tools that the workers demanded to be able to carry out their work" has been allocated.

The Cabildo of Lanzarote announces that the cleaning service of the margins of the island's roads has collected 67 tons of garbage on the roads of Lanzarote in the last two months.

“These are data contrasted by the service, which demonstrate the great work of the workers when it comes to carrying out their work,” Medina emphasizes, who acknowledges that "the service was deficient for months but that work is being done to improve it day by day."

This is such that the Cabildo has allocated "a greater number of utensils and tools that the workers demanded to be able to carry out their work, as well as the necessary machinery to speed up the process of cleaning the island's roads."

Medina recalls that the Island Government is "working on a macro-specification that improves the conditions of the service's workers and that increases the staff and logistics necessary to clean up the margins of the roads of Lanzarote."

“We started a shock plan in the municipality of Yaiza and we are already in Tías. In a few months we will have our roads clean, and we will guarantee their maintenance with this macro-specification that we are drafting,” adds the councilor.
