The Cabildo of Lanzarote is putting out to public tender the works to improve the water supply network of Tinajo, reports the Island Government. The objective of these actions will be to solve the various problems that generate breakdowns and supply cuts in the municipality.
María Dolores Corujo has pointed out "the need to invest more than 1.6 million euros in Tinajo, where water cuts occur and both people and farmers are affected by problems that leave them without supply for days."
Likewise, the Minister of Water, Andrés Stinga, has highlighted that with the works "we seek to alleviate the insufficient water demand in Tinajo", with which we intend to adapt the "two tanks of Montaña de Tinache and renew the canalization to improve the quality of supply in Tinajo and in the towns of La Santa, Mancha Blanca or El Cuchillo", among others.
Interested companies will have until next June 7 to submit their offers through the State Contracting Platform, the Cabildo collects.
The actions "will have an execution period of about 10 months from the beginning of the same", he concludes.
