Ramiro Muñoz denounces that it is "a modification of the municipal elements without any apparent purpose" and that it "does not justify the consequent economic expense that it will entail for the consistory"

The councilor of Lanzarote en Pie-Sí Podemos in the Yaiza City Council, Ramiro Muñoz, has warned about some "unnecessary" works in the access to the beach of Playa Blanca. Some works that he considers to be "a modification of the municipal elements without any apparent purpose" and that "do not justify the consequent economic expense that it will entail for the southern consistory."

Specifically, Ramiro Muñoz explains that a work will be carried out that will affect the planter located in the pedestrian access to the town's beach and that the intervention will consist of reducing its size on its sides. However, “this work will imply the displacement of other elements of the area for which they have not contemplated relocation”, affirms the councilor of the progressive confluence.

For Muñoz, “moving the surrounding elements will represent an even greater expense than that of the work itself.” According to him, in the area there are three volcanic rocks of "large dimensions", as well as street furniture and a Correos mailbox that “the Councilor for Parks and Gardens does not know where to relocate them.”

For the councilor of the island confluence “an explanation is necessary” from the person in charge of the area, since “the socio-economic situation in the municipality is not to prioritize superfluous expenses.” “We could understand that the municipal expense is justified in improving access for health, security or rescue vehicles, but the truth is that there is no such justification,” says Muñoz.

From Lanzarote en Pie-Sí Podemos de Yaiza they announce that they will present the corresponding request to the consistory so that the Councilor for Parks and Gardens, Rubén Arcas, justifies the reason, purpose and cost of said works in the Plenary Session to be held on December 17.
