Podemos Arrecife criticizes CC for saying that the work of its councilors "is saving Arrecife"

It denounces, among other things, that the City Council has withdrawn 300,000 euros destined for the ARU of Valterra "to pay electricity bills"

Podemos Arrecife criticizes CC for saying that the work of its councilors "is saving Arrecife"

The councilor of Ganemos in Arrecife, an instrumental party belonging to Podemos, has criticized the statement recently sent by the Local Committee of CC in the capital, in which Orlando Umpiérrez stated that his councilors are "the ones who are working and responding to the demands" in Arrecife. "Perhaps whoever wrote that note should consider rectifying it, since between Rafael Juan's more than reprehensible outburst with the Culture workers, the absence of investments from the Urban Planning department and the repeated delay of the municipal budgets, we do not understand how they can feel proud of their colleagues, much less how they can say that their work is saving Arrecife," the councilor points out.

The party believes that "the Arrecife City Council is still mired in a chaos that the current members of the government group are unable to alleviate." "Far from solving the problems of our city, what they do is withdraw money from projects that have not yet started to dedicate it to other issues, the result of a management based on improvisation. Far from alleviating the situation of poverty and inequality experienced by its citizens, they maintain a constant personal struggle in the media that only manages to generate more confusion among municipal workers and sink Arrecife a little more if possible," they say from the formation in a statement.

The latest example of this, according to them, is that the Arrecife City Council has withdrawn 300,000 euros destined for the ARU of Valterra "to pay electricity bills." According to Ganemos, the Councilor for Finance, Samuel Martín, signed a decree withdrawing those 300,000 euros last Tuesday, November 28. "The justification given by the councilor himself in the decree to withdraw those funds is that "the application to be reduced will not be necessary or executed in the 2017 financial year, recognizing that one of the main investments that they have been selling for years and that they praised as one of the great investments that would be made with the 2017 budget, will not materialize," says Daniel Cabecera, councilor of Ganemos, who believes that "they are so useless that they are not even able to comply with what they themselves budget and sell."

They denounce that subsidies for books and school supplies are still not being released

The criticisms of the Ganemos councilors remain there. The spokesperson for the formation in the Arrecife City Council, Leticia Padilla, has once again denounced that the call for school supplies and books has still not been released. "We are ending the month of November, the little ones of Arrecife are already going to finish the first quarter and their parents are still not receiving the help that many need," she points out.

From the party they affirm that they have collected "many complaints about the detachment that the Arrecife City Council has towards the most needy of the municipality. "It cannot be that they continue fighting, without working on what the citizens need, charging and without paying such important aid," concludes Padilla.
