The Minister of Transport, Ramón Bermúdez, agreed this Friday with the mayor of Yaiza, Gladys Acuña, to implement a new urban bus service in Playa Blanca. In this way, an urban line will be put into operation that will connect Playa Blanca, from the Pechiguera area to the limits of the Los Ajaches Natural Park.
Likewise, the planning and installation of shelters and signage of the stops of the aforementioned urban line will be carried out, which will allow the transfer every half hour of both citizens and workers of the place, as well as tourists who want to travel to the beach and shopping area.
At the meeting held in the Cabildo, where the professor of the University of Las Palmas and expert in land transport, Secundino de León, was also present, it was agreed to proceed with the completion of the Playa Blanca Bus Station, as well as to make available to the City Council certain premises for municipal offices.
The counselor and the technical staff of the area plan to meet with the mayor of Yaiza in April, when they will visit the areas where the actions will be carried out.
