The Governing Council approved this Monday in its meeting held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a series of eighteen new appointments that are integrated into the executive team of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands. Among them two in the island of Lanzarote, Pablo Eguía as manager of the Lanzarote Health Services and Esther Machín, director of the Health area of the island.
Pablo Eguía del Río holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of the Basque Country. Medical specialist in Neurology and Family and Community Medicine. Master's Degree in Corporate Communication Management from EAE Business School. He has completed the Management and Innovation program in the health sector of the IE Business School. He has been president of the Canarian Society of Neurology and member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Society of Neurology. Since 2008 he has worked as a neurologist and head of Neurology at the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital and as a neurologist at the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria, although previously he has developed his work at different care levels such as Primary Care and Hospital Emergency. Teaching collaborator in the training of specialists in Neurology and principal investigator in several research studies in the area of Multiple Sclerosis.
On the other hand, Esther Machín Henríquez is a professional technician of Travel Agencies, she also has training in Creation and Management of Trips and Events. She has developed her professional career in the private sector linked to travel and tourist promotion in the destination of products made in the Canary Islands. In this sector she has worked in Viajes Timanfaya, Distribuciones LYC and Degustaciones Canarias, among other companies. She has also collaborated in actions and campaigns to promote the Cabildo Insular of Lanzarote.
