Oswaldo Betancort doubts that the Canary Islands will comply with the promised investment for Lanzarote and La Graciosa

The CC deputy says that he would like to verify if before the end of the year "everything that the Socialist Party sold us so happily as the largest investment allocated to the Island in its history" will become a reality.

The deputy of the Canarian Nationalist group Oswaldo Betancort has requested information in Parliament from the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands about the degree of execution "of each of the budget items corresponding to the island of Lanzarote and La Graciosa in the years 2020 and 2021 in each of the areas of the government".

"I have requested all the documentation because we would like to verify if before the end of the year everything that the Socialist Party sold us so happily as the largest investment allocated to the island in its history will become a reality," Betancort points out.

"Once this information is obtained, we will review if the level of execution, both in 2020 and 2021, corresponds to the headlines and bombastic forecasts that they have presumed until now, mostly patting themselves on the back thanks to the work previously done by Coalición Canaria," says the deputy from Conejero. In addition, he maintains that the current government intends to "reap the fruits that other people planted under a false label of designation of origin."

"We hope that it does not remain in wet paper or good intentions, as in the case of the Tahíche Nursing Home, where we could all see how the first stone was laid last May, with the presence of all the leaders of the regional executive, and after this time, there has been no movement whatsoever with the risk of losing the game that this entails, and so with countless important projects for the economic and social development of Lanzarote and the Eighth Island," says Betancort.
